Data Deletion Instructions
Akkad chat — operated by Akkad chat (chat.akkad.io) · Effective date: 12 July 2026
If you have contacted us through one of our Facebook Pages, Instagram accounts, or any
other channel connected to Akkad chat, we may hold your conversation history and the
public profile information described in our Privacy Policy.
You can request the deletion of this data at any time.
How to request deletion
- Send an email to support@akkad.io
with the subject line "Data deletion request", or send the message
"Delete my data" to the same Facebook Page or Instagram account you
previously contacted.
- Tell us the name or username you used when you messaged us, and on which channel
(Facebook / Instagram / web chat), so we can locate your records.
- We will verify the request, delete all conversation history and profile data
associated with you from our systems, and confirm completion to you
within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your entire conversation history with our channels, including attachments;
- Your contact record (name, username, platform ID, profile picture, and any contact
details you shared with us);
- Copies held in our routine database backups are purged automatically as those
backups expire (within 14 days of the deletion).
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Note that deleting your data from our
systems does not affect the copy of the conversation in your own Facebook Messenger or
Instagram app — that copy is controlled by you and by Meta.
